Job description
ChampionPT is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to lead our outpatient therapy team. In this pivotal onsite role, you’ll oversee clinical operations, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high standards of patient care. This position blends leadership with hands-on responsibilities and offers an opportunity to advance clinic quality and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
Provide ongoing clinical guidance to physical therapists, assistants, interns, and support staff.
Conduct performance evaluations, coach team members, and facilitate continuing education.
Serve as a mentor, especially to new graduates or rotating clinicians, fostering clinical growth and confidence.
Operational & Administrative Management
Oversee daily operations including patient scheduling, staff assignments, and workflow optimization.
Lead staff meetings, handle hiring and orientation, and manage disciplinary processes as needed.
Ensure consistent and accurate documentation for patient treatment and billing.
Participate in staffing decisions and contribute to retention strategies and performance improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance & Program Development
Implement and support performance improvement protocols and best-practice standards.
Review clinical outcomes, promote evidence-based interventions, and adapt treatment approaches for optimal results.
Assist in policy and procedure development tailored to outpatient service needs.
Support data tracking and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements for outpatient rehabilitation.
Patient Care & Team Collaboration
Provide direct patient care as needed, maintaining clinical competence and modeling best practices.
Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases or cross-disciplinary referrals.
Communicate and collaborate with physicians, care teams, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
Job requirements
Licensed Physical Therapist (required); experience with outpatient orthopedics or similar a strong plus.
Minimum of 3–5 years in clinical practice, including demonstrated supervisory or mentoring experience.
Proficient in clinical documentation, therapy workflows, and quality improvement processes.
Strong leadership skills: communication, conflict-resolution, and team development.
Familiarity with billing, scheduling, and regulatory standards governing outpatient therapy.
